I was so glad I had 2 pounds of cooked ground beef in the freezer. I was able to put that along with taco seasoning & some water in a small crock pot and we had walking tacos when we got home at 7:45 pm for dinner.

We highly recommend having cooked meat in your freezer for last minute dinners. We like to buy 10 pounds of ground beef at Sam’s and cook it in 2 large crock pots on high for a few hours. Then I place 1 pound of cooked ground beef in ziploc bags and freeze them. This is a quick and easy way to brown hamburger. The cooked ground beef is perfect for a dinner on the run or when assembling freezer meals.
